Note: The site has been lying dormant for a while. The website provider has added some great new features. I am discovering some broken links and doing housekeeping - straightening up the clutter and making the site easier to manage. If you have questions about where to find things, or feel something is missing. Please let me know, and I will add it to the to-do list. Please bear with me as I sweep away the cobwebs and straighten up the site.

What you need to know before you sign up

To complete this course, you will need to have access to a DSLR or Mirrorless camera.

A DSLR Camera, or Digital Single-Lens Reflex camera, has more controls than a regular compact or point-and-shoot camera. One of the biggest differences is that with a DSLR is that you can change the lens, which you cannot do with a point-and-shoot.

The DSLR can be confusing to learn, with all its settings. This course is designed to help you learn those and begin your adventure into the DSLR Camera. If you are not sure if your camera is a DSLR or a point-and-shoot, contact me, and I can help you figure it out.

I have also heard DSLR cameras referred to as

  1. A paperweight.

  2. Dust magnet

  3. An unused and mysterious object that sits on the shelf, taking up space,

  4. The newest item up for sale on the marketplace, and where you will sell it for a fraction of what you paid. (Speaking of which, if you are in the area, I have a camera for loan if we do this course face to face - it was a great deal!)

If you are just considering or if your camera fits one of the four descriptions above, let's take the next step! Dust it off, and let's learn your camera together.
