How to set aperture priority - Canon
1. Turn on your camera.
2. Using the mode dial on the top left-hand side, turn the dial to Av Mode - this sets the camera to aperture priority and will open a menu on the screen of your camera.
3. Just behind the shutter release button, which is the button that you press to take a picture. There should be another dial, turn it to ƒ/5.6 or the desired aperture
4. Press the shutter button halfway to turn off the menu.
5. Your camera is now set and ready for your first photo session!
